Root canal and caries treatment in Yerevan
Caries is removed and the tooth is restored with a filling; when inflammation reaches the nerve, root canal treatment saves the tooth. Treatment of one canal costs 12,000 AMD, fillings from 12,000 AMD.
Who it is for
- Pain from cold, hot or sweet food.
- A dark spot, hole or broken filling.
- Constant or night pain, swelling — the nerve may be inflamed.
How it works
- Examination and X-ray.
- Local anaesthesia.
- Removal of decay; for a root canal — cleaning, shaping and disinfecting the canals.
- Filling the canals and restoring the tooth with a filling (or a crown if the tooth is weak).
- Control X-ray.

Questions and answers
How much does root canal treatment cost?
12,000 AMD for one canal, 15,000 AMD for two and 18,000 AMD for three canals. The restoration of the tooth is priced separately.
Is root canal treatment painful?
It is done under local anaesthesia, so the procedure itself should not hurt.
Is it better to remove the tooth?
Saving your own tooth is usually the better option; extraction is considered only when the tooth cannot be restored.
Do I need a crown after a root canal?
Not always. If a large part of the tooth is destroyed, a crown protects it from cracking.
