Questions and answers
When should a child first see a dentist?
When the first teeth appear, and no later than about age one; then every 6 months.
Do baby teeth need to be treated?
Yes. Untreated caries in baby teeth causes pain and infection and can affect the permanent teeth.
What is fissure sealing?
A protective material fills the grooves of the chewing teeth so that food and bacteria do not stay there. It costs 5,000 AMD per tooth.
Can parents stay in the room?
Yes, parents can stay with the child during the visit.
